3 Days in Prague: Cafés, Castles & Cobblestones
PRAGUE IN 3 DAYS
Exploring the heart of Central Europe one spritz, castle, and cobblestone street at a time.
Getting There
After flying business class for the first time (full post here), I landed in Prague ready to explore. Traveling light with just carry-ons made the whole trip smoother — and we mapped everything out with Wanderlog, which kept our multi-city itinerary perfectly organized. My AT&T International Plan automatically kicked in for just $12/day, so I stayed connected, navigated easily, and even worked a little on the go.
This trip was a two-week adventure across Central Europe — Prague, Munich, Salzburg, Budapest, and Kraków — but Prague instantly stole my heart.

Day 1 – Arrival & Old Town
I arrived in Prague around 11 AM and my friend landed a couple of hours later. I grabbed a Costa Coffee at the airport and got a little work done while waiting. Once she arrived, we caught an Uber to our Airbnb, changed out of our travel clothes, and set out to explore.
Our first stop? Aperol spritzes in Old Town — the best way to kick off a European adventure. We wandered through cobblestone streets lined with colorful buildings and street musicians, taking in sights like:
-
Old Town Square – The city’s historic center, surrounded by Gothic architecture.
-
Prague Astronomical Clock – A must-see (try to catch the hourly show).
-
Charles Bridge – Best visited early, but beautiful anytime for photos and views.
-
Narrowest Street in Prague – A hidden gem of a “street” that’s barely wide enough for one person at a time (with its own traffic light!).
-
Dancing House – A quick stop to see the modern architecture contrast the old city charm.
-
U Fleků Brewery – We ended the night here with dinner and local beer — the perfect first night in Prague.
Day 2 – Café Savoy, Petrin Tower & Medieval Prague
We started the morning at Café Savoy — a must-visit spot with vintage charm. I ordered a flat white and a croissant with scrambled eggs and truffle — easily one of the best breakfasts of the trip.
Afterward, we hiked up to Petrin Tower for panoramic city views. It’s a bit of a climb (stairs included), but the 360° view at the top is worth every step.
From there, we made our way to the John Lennon Wall, Prague Castle, and grabbed Aperol spritzes again (theme of the trip!) before stopping for happy hour at Medieval Tavern U Sedmi Švábů — great atmosphere and drinks (the best Aperol Spritzes of the trip).
That night, we had booked the Medieval Dinner with Unlimited Drinks we’d found on GetYourGuide, but I’d skip it — the food wasn’t great, and there are way better dining experiences in the city to take advantage of.
Day 3 – Health Finds, Coffee Shops & Hidden Gems
We kicked off our final day with Starbucks near our Airbnb (yes I need a strong coffee to start the day so starbucks is usually the first stop and more coffee at a cafe later) before stopping at Vilgain Health Store — an unexpected gem. Everything was beautifully organized and fresh; I grabbed a pistachio croissant that was incredible.
Next up was a second visit to Prague Castle, this time to see the Crown Jewels exhibit, followed by a stop at Cocovanka Café — the cutest bohemian vibe spot with amazing matcha lattes.
Lunch was at Manifesto Market Anděl, an open-air food market that feels like an upscale food hall. Tons of options, live music, and the perfect place for a Hugo Spritz and people-watching.
We squeezed in a visit to the Municipal Library of Prague to see the iconic Book Tower — definitely a must for photos — then had to grab a Chimney Cake at Trdlokafe and do some shopping. Dinner was at Pasta Fresca, which was one of the best meals of the entire trip.
We wrapped up the night with a visit to the Franz Kafka Rotating Head sculpture by David Černý — especially cool to see illuminated after dark.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Prague completely exceeded my expectations — the colors, the energy, the mix of old-world charm and modern style. It’s the kind of city that invites you to slow down, wander, and enjoy every detail (preferably with a spritz in hand).
Next up: Munich + Oktoberfest! 🇩🇪
